Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:Ensure the integrity of the QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety and Environment) Systems at the site. Responsible for providing the necessary QHSE guidance, advice, inspections & reports to enable the Camp Boss, Site Manager, Operations Manager and Project Manager to fulfill their obligation to implement the QHSE requirements as stated in the client contract and PSGS standards. Provide training to staffKEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Applying and following the client contractual QHSE obligations, PSGS’s QHSE policy and procedures Maintaining the integrity of the ISO Management Systems standards Maintaining the integrity of documents for other standards like OHSAS 18001:2007 Verifying that all breaches to CCP’s are corrected timeously Conducting daily walkabout HSE inspections and weekly HSE inspections of the whole camp (report to site manager and section head for corrective actions to be done) Monitoring housekeeping and Hygiene standards in Dining facility, laundry, accommodation and all camp areas Identifying areas not meeting contractual requirements and inform relevant head of department and site manager Ensuring that Personal Hygiene standards are met. Ensuring that HSE Induction training is provided to all new staff, subcontractors and visitors Conducting TBT and staff training on Food Safety and HSE topics Regularly verify the integrity of the firefighting equipment/system and that the monthly inspections’ are done. Ensuring regular emergency response exercises and drills are conducted to ensure highest level of preparedness in case of an emergency Maintaining records of such drills, providing recommendations for emergency response (and evacuation) improvements Providing HSE improvement proposals stating: non-conformity, proposed corrective action, required resources for corrective action and plan of implementation Investigating root cause of all incident/accident and report to the QHSE Manager and Site Manager Monitoring and verifying that CAPA to all incidents and accidents are fully and timeously done Highlighting and improving safety awareness levels among the employees, clients and visitors Monitoring and verify that customer complaints are reported and attended to Providing a trend analysis of the customer complaints to show continual improvement Investigating the root cause of all the HSE complaints put forward by staff members, clients and contractors and reporting the resulting to the QHSE ManagerReviewing and analyzing all Near Miss reports and make recommendations to remedy the situation Ensuring Safe Systems of Work and Risk assessments are available as required Ensuring PSGS Services and client journey management plans and vehicle safety policies are observed Representing PSGS Services during client QHSE Inspections and audits as directed by the QHSE Manager Act as a food safety team member Collate the project monthly statistics every month and send to QHSE Manager
Skills
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Food Safety training certificate. 3 to 5 years work experiences as a QA/HSE officer. Must be fluent in English language / read and writePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be mentally and physically fit and have the ability to work long periods. Should be energetic, enthusiastic, and willing to work under pressure to meet deadlines
